December 6th is just around the corner and the Extreevaganza committee is working hard to make this year’s event fun-filled, sensational and philanthropic. We have been getting inquiries into what can be expected with the move back to Otsego Resort, the co-host of this year’s event, so here is a sneak peek. The special event center will be transformed into the night sky with midnight blue, gold decor and lots of lights. The silent auction will have something for all ages, including decorated Christmas trees, wreaths, evergreen gnomes, Nutcracker ballet tickets, an electric fireplace with decorated mantle, and homemade Christmas cookies. The live auction will offer multiple experiences for you, your family or friends to bid on, including a hunting trip and an airplane tour of northern Michigan. Hogans Jewelers is the sponsor of Jewel or No Jewel – who will be the lucky person holding the bag of sparkly diamonds? Realtor Jamie Hart donated 50 bottles of wine for the popular wine toss – do you have the magic arm to win this year? NAI Group is sponsoring the Giving Lanterns, a philanthropic opportunity for you to write down what matters most to you and, at the end of the night, release the lanterns into the starry sky. Did we mention dancing? Yes, there will be dancing.
We hope that you will join us on December 6th to kick-off the holiday season and help grow the Community Fund, an endowed fund of the Otsego Community Foundation which meets the ever-changing needs of Otsego County.
Do you like the Christmas Tree pictured? The talented Julie Gregory designed this tree that will be available as a silent auction item.
