Area nonprofits, please join the Otsego Community Foundation on the second Wednesday of each month at 9:00 am for our virtual Nonprofit Exchange. This is a great way to share with each other the challenges and accomplishments we are experiencing. It’s a great space for open dialogue to help each other and to discuss the needs of our community and our organizations. By coming together, we will make ourselves stronger.
When we surveyed fellow nonprofits last year, so many felt this one hour made a huge difference during the upheaval of the pandemic. As we move forward, the importance of sharing, learning and helping each other will continue to grow and the Nonprofit Exchange will be here to be the place for sharing.
“As a nonprofit working in the community, but not residing here, one would think that it would be difficult to create connections and collaborative projects. This would be true if not for the Nonprofit Exchange! Because of the monthly meetings, skillfully facilitated by Karin Beyer, PoWeR! Book Bags has been able to expand and extend our work in the Otsego community through new partnerships and projects. We have gone from our beginning project with the local elementary schools to working with the Women’s Resource Center, Early Head Start, WIC, the Great Start Collaborative and the Otsego County Library. The Nonprofit Exchange has helped us find fabulous community volunteers through the United Way’s RSVP. More families and children are benefitting because of the kind collaborative spirit and work of the Nonprofit Exchange. We are filled with gratitude.” – Kara Gregory, PoWer! Book Bags
